Austenitic-ferritic steel with good mechanical properties. High resistance to general corrosion, chlorine-induced, trans-crystalline stress corrosion. Relatively good resistance to hydrogen-induced stress corrosion. Pitting corrosion resistance is relatively high due to high chrome and molybdenum content.

This grade refers to a stainless austenitic speciality steel. Its low carbon content warrants resistance to inter-crystalline corrosion in a welded state. The high chrome-molybdenum content results in very good pitting resistance.
